Raffles (formerly KvB) is a design school in Sydney that offers a range of creative courses.
We were engaged to rebrand the school shortly after it was aquired by the Raffles Education Group. The school had a damaged reputation and morale was low internally, so it was necessary to do a major identity overhaul. We developed a strategy to address the perceptions both internally and externally and implement a name change in a few stages, so that they eventually dropped the KvB part of the name and are now known as Raffles.
We based the new work on some of their strengths and portrayed the school as A creative space, this phrase was embodied in the yellow square – a device which was used across the new identity. Creativity was confidently celebrated in a bold visual identity.
The work was so successful that it was used in other Raffles colleges around Asia.
